SUMMARY:Tribute to Bob Dylan & The Band
DESCRIPTION:\nA special celebration and tribute to THE BAND\, and The Band’s mentor and long-time collaborator\, Bob Dylan on his 75th birthday! \n\n\n\n\nThe THE BAND Band is without a doubt the most musically satisfying tribute to The Band on the scene today. While The Band may be long gone from the stage\, The THE BAND Band is keeping their sound and spirit alive and well with authentic\, true-to-form renditions of their legendary repertoire. This group of veteran musicians showcases the astounding breadth and depth of The Band’s distinctively original Americana music with classics such as “Up on Cripple Creek\,” “The Weight” and “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down\,” as well as deeper cuts from The Band’s vast catalog.\n\nFor this special show\, The THE BAND Band will also perform some Bob Dylan classics to honor his 75th Birthday and the historic relationship between Dylan and The Band. \nThis is not your ordinary tribute band. The THE BAND Band brings the songs to life again with the energy and excitement of The Band’s legendary concerts\, earning the praise of critics and audiences alike. Rex Fowler of renowned folk-rock duo Aztec Two-Step states\, “Sadly we’ll never see or hear The Band perform live again\, but if you want a close second and want to be transformed by the magic and spirit of The Band’s music….The THE BAND Band…delivers BIG TIME.” \nThe THE BAND Band has shared the stage with notables such as Richie Havens\, New Riders of the Purple Sage\, Aztec Two-Step\, and Marshall Crenshaw. The individual players have performed with original Band members Rick Danko and Levon Helm\, as well as Bruce Springsteen\, David Amram\, Chuck Berry\, John Hall\, Steve Forbert\, Roy Rogers\, Robbie Dupree\, Max Weinberg\, Maria Muldaur\, Genya Ravan\, Jimmy Vivino\, The Tokens\, and others. \nThe THE BAND Band players: \nGary Solomon – (bass\, fiddle\, vocals)\nJack Kraft – (keyboards\, accordion\, vocals)\nJosh Radin – (guitar\, mandolin\, vocals)\nLoren Korevec – (piano\, vocals)\nVinny Nicosia – (drums\, vocals) \nIf you like The Band\, Levon Helm\, Dylan \n\n\n
