Carpenter & King: A tribute to Karen Carpenter & Carole King

December 15, 2017 @ 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Returning by popular demand!

Carpenter & King offers a dual tribute of Karen Carpenter and Carole King, taking you back in time to the amazing era of well-crafted songwriting and performance.

Sweet Seasons is a tribute band whose song list spans the repertoire of the multiple award-winning singer/songwriter Carole King. In Carpenter & King, Sweet Seasons adds Annie Masciandaro (of Back to the Garden 1969) on drums and lead vocals as “Karen.”

Carole King made her mark with “Tapestry” in 1971 but was already a well established songwriter for more than a decade, starting with her first hit in 1960, “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow,” recorded by The Shirelles. Other well-known hits by Carole include “Pleasant Valley Sunday” by The Monkees, “Take Good Care of My Baby” by Bobby Vee, “Up on the Roof” by The Drifters and many more old favorites.

The Carpenters became among the best-selling music artists of all time. During their 14-year career, the Carpenters recorded 11 albums, 31 singles, five television specials and a short-lived television series.

Sweet Seasons is comprised of professional musicians who have been working together for more than 30 years. The group is dedicated to preserving Carole’s legacy while adding their own musicianship, interpreting her songs with love and respect.
