Fifth Annual Christmas@The Falcon Benefit

December 15, 2017 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Now a Falcon tradition, Brian Collazo (BSKi, Live Society) hosts the 5th Annual Christmas@TheFalcon Benefit Concert, co-produced by Tony Falco and Fizz Management.
Tonight we ask guests to make a voluntary donation to benefit hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico.

Collazo joins an all-star lineup, and delivers that cozy holiday spirit with three generations of Collazo family singers (kids and all!) – to include brother Kevin, father Carlos, and cousin Jay Vegas. Your heart will grow three sizes tonight.

Featuring:
Brian “BSKi” Collazo, Joel Rosenblatt, Patrick W. Firth, Julia Adamy, and Tony DePaolo

“Meet new-school-old-school crooner BSKi, (pronounced “bee-skee”) with a touch Jamiroquai and neo-soul, it’s the pure poetry he’s writing that takes his sound to another level….” – ElevtrTrax

BSKi released “Keep It Light” (2016), his highly anticipated debut EP, as a 5-song album, produced by Greg Mayo (Bernhoft, Brooklyn Sugar Co.) blending Latin rhythms with 90s R&B, Funk & Hip-Hop in a style BSKi affectionately refers to a “sancochofunk,” (sancocho=stew or gumbo). The music evokes a ’70s Stevie-Wonder-meets-’90s-New-Jack-Swing vibe while Collazo adds his own, sometimes, sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek lyrical approach for a uniquely personal record. The album features New York heavy-hitters and delivers a live, soulful aesthetic to the danceable, beat-heavy production.

A first generation “Nuyorican”, he grew up listening to his father playing guitar and singing the classic boleros of Rafael Hernandez and Trío Vegabajeño. His family singing group, Élan, was signed to Columbia Records before evolving into what became the soul-pop indie collective, “Live Society” who released three studio albums together, including their swan-song, “Only a Disaster” (2014).
