SUMMARY:Formula 5 at Olives w/ The Dude of Life and The Fluid Druids
DESCRIPTION:Formula 5 + The Dude of Life w/ The Fluid Druids are going to be getting down once again\, this time at Olives in Nyack\, NY! Join us for an incredible night of classic jams! \nFormula 5 brews up organic\, funk filled grooves across New York state. Whether they are throwing down opening sets for heavy hitters like Twiddle\, Dopapod\, Spiritual Rez\, and The Heavy Pets\, or gracing the stages of Northeast festivals such as Catskill Chill\, Disc Jam\, The Big Up\, Strange Creek\, and Buffalove\, Formula 5 has continued to grow rapidly – winning over new fans throughout the Northeast and beyond. \nSteve Pollak\, best known by his stage name The Dude of Life is a musician and lyricist. He has co-written Phish songs including “Suzy Greenberg” and “Fluffhead” with former Space Antelope bandmate Trey Anastasio\, whom he attended The Taft School and University of Vermont. Pollak (or The Dude – which do you prefer here?) has released two albums\, “Crimes of the Mind” and “Under the Sound Umbrella\,” featuring appearances by members of Phish. A music therapy teacher for autistic children\, Steve works on a variety of musical projects\, including Lightscapes\, a light & music sculpture event in the Hudson Valley. He and his wife Leslie have three children and reside in Westchester County\, NY. Currently he performs with The Fluid Druids. \nFluid Druids Band are a jam band mixing originals with classic covers of Phish\, The Grateful Dead and other influential bands. The core members are Daver Coats on lead guitar\, Charlie De Saint Phalle on bass\, and Maurice Harroche on drums. The band started playing breweries and bars in 1999\, sharing their music with craft beer brethren. Charlie and Daver are arborists by trade\, thus the band name\, The Fluid Druids. They call Captain Lawrence Brewing their home venue in Westchester County\, NY. \n
