On Saturday, November 5, 2016 Twelve Moons Coffee House is delighted to feature Salisbury’s own Hal Lefferts. Best known as the former host of the Midday Show on WKZE and host of WTF on WHDD Robin Hood Radio, Hal Lefferts is also an accomplished singer/songwriter.
Performing and recording for over 50 years, Hal’s voice is warm and easily accessible, his fingerstyle guitar work clear and captivating. His original songs are positive, nicely crafted tunes, weaving melodic vocals and well-integrated guitar lines into memorable boogies and ballads. Hal has opened shows in the past for artists such as Bruce Cockburn, Richard Thompson, Christine Lavin, Greg Brown, Patty Larkin, Peter Case and Edgar Winter.
Hal’s CD “People Wave”, a collection of 13 original songs was welcomed with comments, such as:
“… alluring in it’s simplicity and easy flow. Listening to “People Wave” feels like a relaxing evening spent rocking on Grandma’s porch.” – Face Magazine, Portland, ME.
“Folk, rock, Native American strains all come together in a warm, resonating mix of tunes. If the world favored of Joy over Angst, these tunes would represent some serious airplay.” – New Vision Magazine, Berkshires
