SUMMARY:Happy Together Tour
DESCRIPTION:The Mid-Hudson Civic Center is excited to welcome the Happy Together Tour 2016\, with performances by The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie\, Chuck Negron (former lead singer of Three Dog Night)\, Mark Lindsay (formerly of Paul Revere & The Raiders)\, Gary Puckett & the Union Gap\, The Cowsills and The Spencer Davis Group\, on Wednesday\, June 15th at 8:00 PM! \nThe Happy Together Tour celebrates the fun and nostalgia of the ‘60s and ‘70s with a lineup of artists who helped define the “classic rock” genre. The tour was founded in 1984 by Flo & Eddie of the Turtles\, and they remain one of the headliners of the Happy Together Tour thirty years later. With hits such as “Happy Together\,” “It Ain’t Me\, Babe\,” and “She’d Rather Be With Me\,” The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie have sold over 40 million records worldwide and continue to attract legions of fans to every show they play. Chuck Negron helped form the rock band Three Dog Night in 1968 and the group went on to become one of the most successful bands of the 1960s and 1970s\, with hits such as “One\,” “Mama Told Me Not To Come” and “Joy To The World.” Although Three Dog Night later disbanded\, Chuck went on to have a successful solo career\, recording six albums and writing an autobiography. \nMark Lindsay\, one of the founding members of Paul Revere & The Raiders\, has also had a successful solo career after being lead vocalist for one of the decade’s most prominent bands. Paul Revere & The Raiders had several hits\, including “Kicks\,” “Hungry\,” and “Indian Reservation\,” and although he left the band in 1975\, Mark continues to perform and delight fans with his energetic stage presence. Gary Puckett & the Union Gap was one of the top groups of the 1960s. Their Civil War-era costumes and signature style\, along with Gary’s unique voice\, earned the band six consecutive gold records and several hits\, including “Over You\,” “Woman\, Woman\,” and “Lady Willpower.” Even though the band disbanded in the ‘70s\, Gary was one of the founding members of the Happy Together Tour in 1984 and continues to perform nationally and internationally. \nThe Cowsills first joined the Happy Together Tour in 2014\, but they’ve been performing and delighting audiences since 1965. Currently made up of siblings Bob\, Paul and Susan\, the Cowsills were the original inspiration for the TV show The Partridge Family and their heavenly\, sunny sound differentiated them from other acts of the decade. With hits such as “The Rain\, The Park & Other Things\,” “Indian Lake\,” and “Hair\,” the Cowsills bring an ethereality to the Happy Together Tour 2016. The Spencer Davis Group adds some British flair to this year’s Happy Together Tour. Formed in Birmingham in 1963\, the Spencer Davis Group was one of the most influential bands of the 1960’s and had several hits in both the U.S. and the U.K.\, including “Somebody Help Me\,” “I’m A Man” and “Gimme Some Lovin.” The band has gone through many lineup changes over the years\, but Spencer Davis still tours with the band and performs their greatest hits. \nWith such a wide array of musical heavyweights from the 1960’s and 1970’s\, the Happy Together Tour 2016 will bring nostalgia\, levity and joy to the Mid-Hudson Civic Center. Not only will the Happy Together Tour 2016 be a fantastic show for fans who grew up listening to these bands\, it will also be a great opportunity for new fans to come out and enjoy the music that shaped a generation. \nHappy Together Tour 2016\nWith performances by: The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie\, Chuck Negron (former lead singer of Three Dog Night)\, Mark Lindsay (formerly of Paul Revere & The Raiders)\, Gary Puckett & the Union Gap\, The Cowsills and The Spencer Davis Group.\nWednesday\, June 15 at 8:00 PM\nReserved seating tickets are $62.00\, $52.00\, & $42.00 and are on sale now at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center box office\, all Ticketmaster locations\, charge-by-phone by calling 1-800-745-3000 or online at Ticketmaster.com. \n
