Jesse David LeRoi Grey aka Jesse Royal is widely revered as a popular artiste among the young conscious movement otherwise considered as the ‘Reggae Revival’.
As a young lion, Jesse was destined for success based strictly off of his deep spirituality, love for life and most importantly his appreciation for music. His natural ability to express his thoughts and relate them to those he was around along with his distinctive voice is what inevitably led him to be a reggae favourite. Born April 29th, 1989, Jesse grew up in the hills of Maroon Town and Orange district in St. James before moving to join his Father in Kingston, Jamaica.
It was soon after that Royal would befriend the son of Ziggy Marley, Daniel ‘Bambaata’ Marley, through their mutual admiration for football and music. Their friendship grew stronger as they both explored their undeniable passion for music.
