SUMMARY:Jessica Jones Quartet Upstate
DESCRIPTION:Charlie Kniceley -bass\nHarvey Sorgen – drums\nJessica Jones\, Tony Jones – tenor sax\n$10 cover \nGreat rhythm section\, big fun ahead! Originals and some tweaked standards. Good food\, nice town\, what’s not to like? \nMost colorful review of latest album:\n“JJQ’s two-tenor chemistry broadcasts micro-brewed cool with daring flair and dazzling magic\, quicksilver bop sopped in swinging ba-da-bings spun from unpredictable rhythms and rich wind-blown tones. Trembling\, blending and disassembling\, “Moxie\,” unlocks a simmering hornet’s nest of hot mess coalescing intuitive grooves from dueling schools\, shadowy solos crawling through marinated menageries like cobras eloping with bipolar ghosts.” – Maximum Ink.com \nRunner up:\n“… predictably unpredictable\, grounded yet far-reaching\, and irresistibly intriguing in its unfolding. The tenors move along with a combination of patience and attitude\, enhancing the underlying feel with their cool-headed\, hot-blooded moves…a program that’s both unrestrained and structurally sound.”\n–	All About Jazz.com \nBest old school review:\n“Their latest effort is a chordless marvel\, a lean and grooving program of six tunes that maintains a taut liveliness from beginning to end.”\n–	Brian Zimmerman\, Downbeat magazine \n
