SUMMARY:Jonah Smith "Easy Prey"
DESCRIPTION:Featuring:\nAtlanta slide guitar maestro\, Jacob Deaton\, Brandon Morrison/Bass and Lee Falco/Drums \njonahsmith.com\nJonah Smith returns to the Falcon to celebrate “Easy Prey”\, his debut release for Austin based\, Music Road Records. This marks his first album since his run of epic performances on Season 9 of “America’s Got Talent”. Jonah’s performance of his original song\, “Skyscraper Blues” earned him a standing ovation. Smith found himself performing live at Radio City Music Hall with twelve million television viewers\, as he sailed through to the semi-finals. \n“You’re the real deal! You can play\, you can sing\, you are terrific!” – Howard Stern \nSmith began recording “Easy Prey” with Music Road in Austin\, TX. In addition to long-time band mates\, he welcomed many special guests – David Hidalgo\, of Los Lobos\, plays blazing licks over the riff rock of “Turn Down The Moon”. Jess Wolfe and Holly Laesig of Lucius provide harmonies on “Make Me Change My Mind” that harken back to Phil Spector’s wall of sound. Guitarist\, Adam Levy provides a beautiful solo on the title track as well as tasteful playing on other cuts. This album marks the return of saxophonist\, Bob Reynolds (John Mayer\, Snarky Puppy)\, a band mate of Smith’s for his first three records. He fills out a killer horn section on several songs and plays a beautiful solo on the outro of “On Love We Can Survive”.\nSmith wrote and produced every song on this stunning album. Jonah’s deep experience as a performer and storyteller will be on display for his long-awaited return to the Falcon stage. \nWhere-I-Started-From: https://youtu.be/4GpNnJlP_YA \n
