SUMMARY:Memorial Day Weekend Freedom Fair
DESCRIPTION:senhower Park Freedom Fair / Music Festival Carnival Memorial Day Weekend Friday\, May 27th – Monday\, May 30th \nNewton Shows Giving Away 200 Free Tickets to Those Who Sign Drug-Free Pledge \nEast Meadow\, NY (May\, 2016) — This Memorial Day weekend from Friday\, May 27th through Monday\, May 30th the Eisenhower Park Freedom Fair / Music Festival Carnival will take place in one of the largest public spaces in the NY Metropolitan area- Nassau County’s Eisenhower Park- Field 2! The fair will include a midway by Newton Shows with rides\, games of skill and MORE\, Food and drinks provided by Dover Gourmet\, musical entertainment\, and a drug abuse prevention and awareness pledge produced by Tutor Central. In celebration of the community\, Newton Shows has come together to support the drug abuse prevention initiative and are providing at least 200 free ride tickets to young Long Islanders ages 14-20 who sign the Drug Free Pledge! \nFriday 6– 10:30pm \nSaturday and Sunday 1 – 10:30pm \nMonday 1– 6pm \nThe fair combines a carnival with Live music from several of Long Island’s top bands & DJs as well as attractions and performances for children including contortionists\, jugglers\, magicians\, and huge light shows! \nAccording to recent statistics\, drug related fatalities have doubled from 2010 to 2014 on Long Island\, and they continue to rise each year. Freedom Fairs believes that prevention will have the biggest impact in reversing those numbers\, but that prevention comes from awareness. So\, similar to what the ice bucket challenge did for ALS awareness and research\, he came up with the Drug Free Pledge\, a simple but powerful personal promise that can be made by each young person on Long Island. While making such a promise to oneself may not guarantee that every young person will go on to never try drugs\, he believes such a proclamation could help bring the will to avoid that crucial first contact when the young person finds themselves in such a situation among peers. \nTo make shunning drugs attractive and trending\, Freedom Fairs is encouraging young people to take the pledge on video and share with their friends on social media. By giving away free ride tickets to anyone who takes the DRUG FREE PLEDGE or posts a video taking the pledge on Freedom Fair’s Facebook Page\, they also encourage other companies and organizations to join in this effort by directly purchasing such tickets. Companies may also choose to offer discounts or perks in exchange for the pledges and Freedom Fairs will help promote them via their website and social media to have as many young people promise themselves–and by extension our community–to shun the use of drugs recreationally. \nSo if you’re looking for a fun and exciting place to spend your memorial day weekend and help support drug prevention in the community\, Eisenhower Park Freedom Fair / Music Festival Carnival is the place to be!\nLine up by PDT Entertainment\nFor More Information Regarding Newton Shows\, VISIT: http://www.newtonshows.com/ or Email Kerry@kggpr.com\nFor More Information on Freedom Fairs\, VISIT: http://www.freedomfairs.com/ OR\nFacebook.com/FreedomFairs\nTwitter: Freedom Fairs\nFor Press Inquiries\, CONTACT: Rick@RickEberle.com \nThere will be many games rides food and fun for the whole family there is no admission to this event and FREE parking!\nLIVE MUSIC\nFriday 6-10\nSaturday: 2-10\nSunday: 2-10\nMonday: 2-6\nhttp://www.freedomfairs.com/FreedomFairs.asp\nFreedom Fairs organizes carnival rides\, music\, craft\, and light to provide entertainment for all ages.\nfreedomfairs.com\nThis carnival is a celebration of our community and we have come together to support drug abuse prevention and awareness.
