SUMMARY:Michael Mcdonald - Paramount Theater's 86th Anniversary Concert
DESCRIPTION:This year’s 86th anniversary of the theater marks our 3rd anniversary celebration. Join the celebration and support live music in the Hudson Valley at the Paramount’s only fundraiser of the year by purchasing your tickets today for an evening with \nMichael McDonald \nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdZKm1rHLBc \nTwo notes. That’s all it takes to recognize the voice of Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers & Steely Dan. Distinctive and soulful\, it is one of the most yearningly emotive instruments of our times. To this add formidable songwriting and keyboard skills\, and you have an artist who has been a singular musical presence for four decades. From ‘70s-era Doobie Brothers classics such as “What A Fool Believes” and solo hits like “I Keep Forgettin’” through two highly-acclaimed Motown albums\, genre-busting guest spots and innovative concept shows\, the five-time Grammy Award winning McDonald is both timeless and ever-evolving. \nWith a career that encompasses five Grammy’s\, numerous chart successes\, personal and professional accolades\, as well as collaborations with some of the world’s most prominent artists\, Michael McDonald remains an enduring force in popular music. This is exactly why the Paramount is proud to announce and welcome to their stage Michael McDonald. \nThe night includes live auction and awesome giveaways. \nA special guest starts the celebration\, From the Rob Thomas Band- Marc Von Em. Marc Von Em is a one man band of sorts\, able to create amazing amounts of sound and diversity through his voice and one faithful guitar. His chops are wide-ranging\, from delicate finger picking to rambunctious Pete Townsend type strumming. Marc’s guitar serves as more than one instrument as he uses it to create percussive beats and\, like Willie Nelson’s and Tom Emmanuel’s\, it wears the scars of his passion for playing. Marc is able to seamlessly switch his’ it vibe; his dynamic voice can go from smooth & soaring to smoky scatting. \nWe need your support!\n“World class entertainment\, it’s closer than you think!” \n
