Opus 40 is proud to present the Unicorn, featuring guest vocalist EmilyKate.
We have been proud of our commitment to jazz over the years, and we are especially pleased to be continuing that commitment with one of today’s finest guitarists and composers, Peter Einhorn. He will be appearing with his trio, including bassist Lou Pappas and drummer Dave Berger.
Einhorn has performed and/or recorded with Joe Lovano, Jim Hall, Plácido Domingo, Jimmy Cobb, Steve Swallow, David Amram, John Abercrombie, Steve Kuhn, Eddie Daniels, Roland Hanna, and others. He has been a performer on 7 stringed instruments with the Metropolitan Opera) in NYC.
Lou Pappas excels as both a jazz and classical instrumentalist. He has performed with jazz greats Dave Liebman, Randy Brecker, Billy Cobham and Steve Turre, and appeared with numerous symphony orchestras including the United States Military Academy Band at West Point, Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Taconic Opera Company, and Woodstock Chamber Orchestra.
Dave Berger, from his home in Beacon, New York, frequently accepts invitations to play with some of the best performers in jazz today.
EmilyKate has been performing professionally since the age of 7 and notes as a highlight of her career being tabbed as the opening act for Peter Yarrow, singing her own compositions.
