Saxophonist Rob Scheps joins bassist extraordinaire Tony Garnier for a varied evening of jazz, rock & beyond – with guitarist Pete McCann and drummer Tony Jefferson

Scheps is one of the best saxophonists of his generation, whose credits include – Gil Evans, Al Grey, George Russell, John Scofield, Julis Hemphill, Clark Terry, Kenwood Dennard, Don Alias, Louie Bellson, and the late, great Lew Soloff, among others. Rob has recorded over 35 albums and continues to tour internationally.

Pete McCann
Pete McCann is undoubtedly one of the most respected and industrious electric guitarists on the NYC and international scene – whose prowess has led him to perform with Kenny Wheeler, Dave Liebman, Lee Konitz, and Brian Blade. The breadth of his experience – incorporating jazz, rock, Latin, fusion and contemporary classical – has prompted his appearance on over 80 album recordings, working with the likes of Patti Austin, Grace Kelly and the Mahavishnu Project.

Tony Garnier
Bassist Tony Garnier was Dylan’s longest-running sideman, and has sometimes been characterized as his “musical director” as well. In addition to his work with Dylan, Garnier has recorded with Tom Waits, Loudon Wainwright III, Paul Simon, Asleep at the Wheel, and The Lounge Lizards. He also played with Robert Gordon in the early 1980s. He was also a long-time sideman for David Johansen in his Buster Poindexter persona, and was also briefly a member of the Saturday Night Live house band.

Tony Jefferson
An in-demand sideman, drummer Tony Jefferson has worked with Lou Donaldson ,Eddie Harris, Kenny Drew,Jr., and many others.
