We’re psyched to present one of the premier big bands in the Hudson Valley making its first appearance at Quinn’s, bigBANG led by our bud, bassist Robert Kopec, for a special Sunday showcase.

Regularly performing with a variety of major artists locally and internationally, Robert Kopec has long been recognized as one of the finest bassists in the Hudson Valley. His bigBANG has held a long-standing monthly residency at the legendary Falcon in Marlboro, NY. For this first concert at Quinn’s, RK has gathered some of the most accomplished musicians in the region, some of whose past associations include such renowned big bands as those led by Thad Jones and Mel Lewis, Buddy Rich and Maria Schneider, among many others. They will be performing original arrangements of works by such jazz composers as Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, as well as original compositions by the bandmembers The lineup for bigBANG on 8/6 includes:
