DESCRIPTION:‘Silver Moon’ Album Release Party w Martin McNeil\nSunday June 19th at 7 pm\nMothership 6 Hillcrest Ave Woodstock NY 12498 \nHailing originally from London\, and embarking on a solo music career with the release of his country drenched and melancholic debut album ‘Martin McNeil & The Dissidents’ in September 2012. \nThe forthcoming ‘Silver Moon” album reunites McNeil with longtime collaborator and producer Mark McRae. Travelling to Woodstock NY and gathering an eclectic ensemble of celebrated musicians including Jerry Marotta (Stevie Nicks\, Peter Gabriel\, Paul McCartney)\, Brad Pemberton (Ryan Adams / Willie Nelson) and Jon Graboff (Norah Jones / Mavis Staples) they recorded the new album due for release May 2016. \nAn atmospheric\, evocative and cinematic songwriter\, McNeil’s soulful delivery explores the same world weary themes and dusty heartbreak in the grand poetic tradition of Neil Young\, Jeff Tweedy\, Ray LaMontagne and Elliott Smith. \n
