10TH ANNUAL PEEKSKILL JAZZ & BLUES FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND

(July 18, 2016) – This weekend will mark the 10th anniversary of the Peekskill Jazz & Blues Festival. This free outdoor concert and craft fair attracts thousands of music enthusiasts to Peekskill’s historic Arts District, where families come to enjoy food, art, music and fun. The Main Stage, located on North Division Street at Park & Central, will feature local and nationally touring Jazz and Blues musicians from 4:00-10:00 PM.

With twelve downtown restaurants within walking distance of the Main Stage, festival patrons will be able to enjoy outdoor or indoor dining, craft beers, wine and sangria and shop the artist and merchandise vendors from across the Hudson Valley. This year, the Jazz & Blues Festival proudly features an amazing line-up of Award-winning Jazz & Blues bands:

4:00 – Opening Ceremonies with WHUD’s Kacey Morabito

5:00 – Jessi Mason BandJazz & Funk 

6:00 – Greg Westhoff’s Westchester Swing Band 

7:00 – 3D Rhythm of LifeLatin-Tropical-Soul

8:00 – The Brighton Beat – 10-piece horn-driven Afro-beat Jazz

9:00 – JOE LOUIS WALKER 5-time Blues Music Award Winner and 2013 Blues Hall of Fame Inductee

Attendees are also encouraged to visit ‘Arts & Crafts Alley’, featuring artisans from Peekskill and the surrounding Hudson Valley, and their original jewelry, artwork, clothing and other fine hand-made crafts.
