9TH ANNUAL ROCK & ROLL TOY DRIVE AT THE ANCHOR IN KINGSTON DECEMBER 17

(November 27, 2016) – On Saturday, December 17th, The Anchor in Kingston will host its 9th Annual Rock & Roll Toy Drive. All proceeds from the event will go directly to Kingston children of all ages. Toys will be donated to People’s Place and cash to the KHS homeless teens program.

The event will have a custom bike raffle by Dusty Spokes, and live entertainment by That Cover Band (TCB). There will also be a photo booth with Jeff Bisti.

PEOPLE’S PLACE

The mission of People’s Place is to feed, clothe and respond to the essential needs of the people in Ulster County with kindness, compassion and the preservation of human dignity.

peoples-placeThe Food Pantry supplies fresh, frozen,canned, and boxed food that equals at least 3 meals a day for 3 days. Individuals and families register and may receive food every month. In addition to this, a mix of free food items are provided daily to all who visit. These products may be taken daily.
The Thrift Store carries clothing and small household items. We provide free and affordable clothing and footwear for adults and children. The Thrift Store relies solely on donations and is one of the major funding sources for our Food Pantry.
The Personal Care Closet offers a selection of soaps, shampoos, deodorant, toothpaste and brushes.
Thanksgiving and Holiday programs.
