Sam Haiman Band

Two Guys Metal Reviews- Simply put, Sam Haiman knows how to write a song and it seems pretty clear that he’s put all his years of experience into a finely honed sound, one that reflects the spirit of an artist who seems to be reaching for the sky.

I Probably Hate Your Band- “Sam’s vocals slide in with grit and old school sensibilities well beyond his years – THIS is singing with feeling, heart and soul. If you can imagine Marc Cohn (“Walking in Memphis”) meets Darius Rucker (Hootie and the Blowfish – “Let Her Cry”) you’ll be close to the soulfully genuine tones that Sam brings to this song. With a comforting familiarity, the verse melody carries us on a journey right in to the mind of the singer, a near impossible task all too often completely bypassed by vocalists. The grit and palpable emotion in this voice paint a picture of the singers self-doubt and reluctant acceptance of a situation where he is truly out his element.”

WGLS Rock Director Matt McCourt- “The first time I heard Out of My Element, I was taken aback. I hadn’t heard new music like this in a long time. I was stuck in a rut of trying to find good music, but I couldn’t find what I was looking for. Then, suddenly, the Sam Haiman Band came along and reminded me what it was like to discover a band that quickly rises to the top of your favorite list. The Sam Haiman Band stands out in a sea of music that would never catch your attention. When I listen to their music, my finger never hits the ‘skip’ button. Every song is as great as the last. Their songs will stick in your mind and never let go. It’s been nearly a month since I heard their music and it constantly plays in my head and I never get tired of it. This is the kind of music you want to be stuck in your head for hours. The Sam Haiman Band will impress you. Their music equals a modern day Pearl Jam or the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I cannot wait to see what else they have in store.”

Valley Beat- “They have the kind of sound that brings back memories, emotions and awakens the soul. Their sound is reminiscent of a better time in music. This is what sets them apart, in a very positive manner, from much of the new music that has been flooding our air waves.” -Chris Consavage
