(July 16, 2016) – It’s going to be the party of the season. On Saturday, July 16 Bands Near Me will be hosting a very special VIP launch party at the Victory Cup Polo Match and Car Show in Pawling.

The event is expected to draw people from the entire tri-state area (and beyond), and will benefit two amazing local non-profit organizations: Green Chimneys and Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue. The event will start at 11:00 AM for VIP’s and 1:00 PM for General Admission.

The Bands Near Me bash will take place in the exclusive VIP tent, where guests will eat, drink, mingle and enjoy local farm-to-table foods and local wines, spirits and beer from the greater Hudson Valley area. There will also be live music and entertainment, and Bands Near Me is very proud to announce that local area fan-favorite, 80’s and 90’s Rock Cover Band BedRock will be performing.

The site contains a massive calendar of live music events (which can be viewed by the day or by the month), information about 800+ local musicians/bands (and growing daily), local music news (such as CD release events, fundraisers/benefits and festivals) and venue details. In the great polo tradition, Victory Cup attendees are encouraged to get dressed in their finest summer afternoon attire to take in the majesty of the horses, the sights of beautiful people, the thrill of heart pounding polo (with surprise celebrity players), and to celebrate the official launch of Bands Near Me.

A true entertainment experience, The Victory Cup has lined up exciting field side tailgating, food trucks, a classic car show, the pet parade and a children’s playground for families.

While the event is a private, for-profit event, The Victory Cup partners with local charities, affording them the opportunity to receive 70% of all ticket sales. This year, Green Chimneys has been selected as the “charity of choice,” which means all tickets sold using promotional code “GreenChimneys” will support the organization’s therapeutic programs for children with special needs, and the animals that help them. Green Chimneys will receive 70% of each purchase using the “GreenChimneys” code.

Additionally, Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue will be returning for a second year, offering pony rides at The Victory Cup. Lucky Orphans provides sanctuary to 50 horses as well as Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Services. Tickets sold using the code “LOHR” will support (70% of all direct sales) the rescue’s mission of People Helping Horses Heal People.

Following the polo matches, Victory Cup Farm to Table pass holders roll into an exclusive Farm to Table Dinner prepared by Chef/Owner Rich Parente of Brewster’s Clock Tower Grill on the polo field with the polo players themselves! As a special treat, Chopped Champion Chef Dafna Mizrahi will be on hand to help prepare the VIP dinner offering. Chef Dafna is a Culinary Institute of America trained celebrity chef who additionally is the winner of the Weber Grills and Harley-Davidson Big Burger Battle and several other national awards. At age 24, Mizrahi is already the Executive Chef/Co-Owner of Monte’s Local Kitchen and Tap Room in Amenia.

Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue is a non profit horse sanctuary, home to 50 residents. Lucky Orphans provides education through equine welfare, riding lessons, and promoting volunteerism. The organization is accredited through the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance as well as the Global Federation of Accredited Sanctuaries. Lucky Orphans offers riding opportunities for children and adults through a Certified Horsemanship Association certified staff. EAGALA model services are also conducted through a certified mental health team. Our horses help people struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as trauma due to PTSD or abuse and other mental, emotional struggles.
