Caprice Rouge, an acoustic ensemble, casts its spell with the winding scales and mysterious melodies of traditional Eastern European—Balkan, Romany, and Klezmer—folk music, evoking distant, faraway, and exotic moods from a forgotten time.
Performing on traditional instruments such as accordion, violin, an esoteric variety of clarinets, and percussion, the band is equally at home in a bar, a synagogue or party hall — happy to play for dancers, revelers, holidays, and simchas.
