Scott Robinson, one of today’s most wide ranging instrumentalists (tenor sax, trumpet, bass sax, clarinet, bass clarinet, and including theremin and ophicleide), playing with wide ranging musicians including the Maria Schneider Orchestra, Ron Carter, Joe Lovano, Frank Wess and many more. Dennis Mackrel, who resides in Woodstock, NY, has been a member of the bands of Count Basie, Quincy Jones, Sir George Shearing, Hank Jones, Tony Bennett and many others. Robinson and Mackrel are long-time friends and musical collaborators, and perform together in this duo setting for the first time at SPAF!
