Iris DeMent’s first three albums established her as one of the most beloved and respected writers and singers in American music. Iris’ first album, Infamous Angel, contained her beloved song, Our Town, and her next two both earned her Grammy nominations, as did an album of John Prine’s that DeMent collaborated on. Merle Haggard said of DeMent, “She’s the best singer I’ve ever heard.” Iris will be joined by her band on this visit to the Towne Crier’s stage.
