Palmslap is a funk, soul and world fusion band bringing a new sound to the city of New York. Fronted by drummer and singer, Ben Teters, the music of Palmslap filters classic soul and R&B songwriting through the rhythmically diverse landscapes of Afro-Latin among other world music traditions.
Palmslap had been attracting attention around NYC, playing with bands such as Mad Satta and the Jonathan Scales Fourquestra at venues including The Brooklyn Bowl, Rockwood Music Hall, Daryl’s House, ShapeShifter Lab, The Knitting Factory, and DROM.
