The HD Quintet began with Alex Hamburger and Nicole Davis (hence the name HD), formed at SUNY Purchase. This quintet has benn hosting a bi-weekly jam session in Purchase, New York as well as playing throughout the upstate NY at venues such as Silvana’s, The Shrine and The Falcon and in Washington DC at Twins Jazz and the Mid Atlantic Jazz Fest. HDQ has released an EP which was recorded in May 2015 and is releasing a full length album, which includes new original material, to be featured on their East Coast tour.
