The Longest Day Community BBQ w/Scarecrow and The Blues Drivers

June 18, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 am

Very happy to announce that “Scarecrow” will be entertaining at this GREAT Alzheimer’s Benefit along with “The Blues Drivers” who will be kicking off the festivities! Why? As many of you know, Alzheimer’s was the dreaded disease that took my mother this year, as well as many other folks that we all know and love! The Longest Day is a tribute to our caregiver heroes and those facing Alzheimer’s. Held annually in June, which is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, it’s a day of hope, love and resilience. It’s a day to rally together and show the world that Alzheimer’s can’t break spirits. The event symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the disease and their caregivers.
In honor of this important day, Sharon Health Care Center is hosting a BBQ on June 18th from 11 am – 4 pm for the community, SHCC staff, and the families of our residents. Please help us show support for the many caregivers, residents and community members who are faced with this terrible Disease. All Proceeds made at this event go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
What will there be? Food,, Vendors, Raffles, Face Painting, Fun Activities for kids free of charge and the down and dirty edge of “The Blues Drivers’ and the eclectic mix of a little bit of country and a little bit of rock and roll from “Scarecrow” please come out and help make this event a success!
