
FOODSTOCK 9 AT THE CHANCE THEATRE TO BENEFIT THE FOOD BANK OF THE HUDSON VALLEY AND THE CHILDREN’S HOME OF POUGHKEEPSIE ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3
(November 27, 2016) – On Saturday, December 3 The Chance Theatre in Poughkeepsie will be host Foodstock 9, a special fundraiser to benefit the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley and the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie.
The event will take place from 5:00 – 11:00 PM and will consist of live music performances and entertainment by several amazing local artists:

ABOUT THE FOODSTOCK FUND
Each year, proceeds from ticket sales and raffles go to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, which serves shelters and soup kitchens in six counties here in the Hudson Valley, and to The Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie, which provides a range of services to neglected and abused children in the Hudson River Region. Food donations collected at the show will be donated to Dutchess Outreach in Poughkeepsie.
Food donations will go to Dutchess Outreach. Toy donations will go to a new holiday initiative run by the City of Poughkeepsie PBA and the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department NY Local 596.

THE CHILDREN’S HOME OF POUGHKEEPSIE
Established in 1847, the Children’s Home provides a range of services and programs giving hope and healing to abused and neglected the children in the Hudson River Region. The Children’s Home served 397 children and their family members last year. The Home provides a full range of residential services including campus-based care, community-based group homes and boarding homes, and independent living apartments. CITY OF POUGHKEEPSIE PBA
The City of Poughkeepsie PBA is comprised of active and retired Officers, Detectives, Sergeants and Lieutenants from the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department.
Members work in several divisions within the department:
Patrol Division: As with any Police Department the patrol division is the backbone of the police department, responding to all emergency calls and all calls for service from the residents of the City of Poughkeepsie.
Neighborhood Recovery Unit: Plain clothes unit, which investigates quality of life crimes, as well as vice crimes (narcotics and prostitution) within the City
Community Policing Unit: Members are assigned to both vehicle patrol as well as bike patrol. Members handle quality of life crimes as well as crime prevention. Members work closely with the community to solve crime problems within the city.
Traffic Division: Members are assigned to both cars and motorcycles: Members enforce the vehicle and traffic laws in the city. Most members are also certified in accident reconstruction.
Training and Development: Members are responsible for the training of all City of Poughkeepsie Police Department personnel. The members also hold training for police officers from all over the state.
Dutchess County Drug Task Force: Members investigate narcotics crimes with in the City of Poughkeepsie as well as Dutchess County. A member of the City of Poughkeepsie PBA currently heads up the Task force
Detective Division: Detectives investigate crimes from Petit Larcenies to Homicides.
Crime Analysis Unit: Members analyze crime trends and patterns within the City and pass along the information to the supervisors and the other units.
Juvenile Division: Handle juvenile crimes within the city
