
LISA GUTKIN CD RELEASE EVENT AT BEAN RUNNER IN PEEKSKILL TO BENEFIT RESIST AIM PIPELINE
(July 12) – This Sunday Lisa Gutkin, known from the Klezmatics, will be playing segments from her new solo CD “From Here On In.” Proceeds from the event will go to ResistAIM.

According to Gutkin, “Having spent all of my summers in the Hudson Valley, I have a huge attachment to its beauty,” Gutkin said in a press release. “I am grateful to ResistAIM–and especially to its members who were willing to get arrested– in spreading awareness of the risks of the Spectra Pipeline. I’m very happy to support their efforts.”

ABOUT THE KLEZMATICS:
The Klezmatics are an American klezmer music group based in New York City, who have achieved fame singing in several languages, most notably mixing older Yiddish tunes with other types of more contemporary music of differing origins. They have also recorded pieces in Aramaic and Bavarian.
ABOUT RESIST AIM PIPELINE:
Resist AIM Pipeline is a group of people standing up against Spectra Energy’s AIM pipeline. The group has no political affiliations and consist of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
The event will take place this Sunday, July 17 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. The BeanRunner Cafe is located at 201 S. Division Street in Peekskill.
