MILLBROOK VINEYARDS & WINERY HOSTS 26TH ANNUAL HARVEST PARTY

(October 7, 2016) – Millbrook Vineyards & Winery (www.millbrookwine.com), the Hudson River Valley’s premier wine estate, will be holding its 26th Annual Harvest Party on Saturday, October 22nd from 12:00 to 4:30 PM. Millbrook Vineyards & Winery owner John Dyson and his wife, Kathe, held the first few Harvest Parties at their house, inviting friends to help them pick grapes and celebrate a successful vintage. Since then the event has grown tremendously and has become known for its culinary sophistication, offering guests the chance to try wonderful food paired with Millbrook wines.

This year, Millbrook Vineyards & Winery has invited back Chef Peter X. Kelly of Restaurant X and X20 Xaviars on the Hudson Tickets to the event include a welcome reception with hors d’oeuvres, a four-course lunch, wine and gratuity. Menu highlights include a first course of Olive Oil Poached Shrimp paired with Millbrook’s 2015 Riesling Proprietor’s Special Reserve, a second course of Catskill Mountain Brook Trout with Root Vegetable and Portobello Hash served with 2014 Block Two West Chardonnay, and a third course of Aged Short Ribs of Beef braised in Millbrook Cabernet Franc and paired with 2013 Merlot Proprietor’s Special Reserve and 2014 Cabernet Franc Block Three East. For dessert, Deconstructed Apple and Cranberry Cobbler with Brown Sugar Panna Cotta and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream served along with Millbrook’s 2014 Late Harvest Riesling.
