Since forming at Tufts University in 1992, Guster has been one of the leading indie/alt bands, with 8 acclaimed albums in 21 years, from 1995’s Parachute to 2015’s Evermotion.

Can you believe it’s been 10 years since Eye to the Telescope came out? It seems like only yesterday when Scottish-born singer/songwriter KT Tunstall filled the US airwaves with hits like “Other Side of the World,” “Suddenly I See,” and “Black Horse And a Cherry Tree”.

Rolling Stone just named The Revivalists one of the 10 New Artists You Need To Know for March 2016. This band with over 2 million Spotify streams was described by The Six Thirty as “Pearl Jam met a New Orleans funk/soul/jazz band and had a beautiful child to bless the world with.” And yet, reviews can’t equal the live experience. Rhythm, horns, pedal steel, mixed with solid rock and dirty hands. Not to mention guitarist Zack Feinberg, straight out of Pleasantville, jamming, sweating, and making the crowd do the same. It was long ago, yet it seems like only yesterday. In the 1980s, The Smithereens led New Jersey’s answer to the British Invasion with bass-heavy, haunting, anti-heroic songs. “Blood and Roses, “A Girl Like You,” “Only a Memory,” and “Behind the Wall of Sleep” filled college radio and brought much-needed contrast to the bombast on MTV.

Welcome Chill Tent Stage headliners Rex Fowler and Neal Shulman, celebrating 45 years making music together as the folk/rock duo, Aztec Two-Step. Taking their name from a poem by beat poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti, they’ve been on records, on the radio, and on the road constantly. In fact, it’s Kerouac’s On The Road that inspired their iconic hit, “The Persecution & Restoration of Dean Moriarty”.

In recent years, the duo did a Simon & Garfunkel tribute tour with the late radio host Pete Fornatale. And in June 2007, Real Simple named their debut album one of the top five classic folk albums of all time. SEE MORE AZTEC TWO-STEP HERE.

The Annie Minogue Band rocks hard. Driving guitars, gutsy rock attitude, and a frontwoman who sounds like Patti Smith meets Patty Smyth meets Pat Benatar. Since 2000, she has been recording great music, including albums like Home, Love Parade, and Tripping the Velvet.

Yeah, that former teacher, football coach, congressman, lawyer, and best-selling author and TV host can rock! He’s written over 400 songs and a musical, and has just finished a stellar performance at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

Wild Adriatic crushes a soulful, hard-rocking sound reminiscent of Zep, Humble Pie or early Free. They’ve shared the stage with Grand Funk Railroad, Robert Randolph, Blues Traveler, and many more.

Festival organizers are very excited to have Side Saddle play the Chill Tent Stage. This Astoria-based five-piece with 4 members originally from Yorktown and one from Verplanck only formed in 2013, but their sound is fresh and polished, and infectious. At first, you notice there’s a Decemberists / DCFC stream-of-consciousness vocal. Then you realize that it’s all harmonized. Then you get the Of Monsters and Men horn vibe and the pedal steel guitar, and you think “this stuff is really layered and really fun!”

Don DiLego is a master of many trades. Producer, movie scorer, singer and songwriter. He’s co-written songs and toured with Jesse Malin. And his four solo albums have each won critical acclaim, including Western & Atlantic, which won an Independent Music Award for best roots / alt country album, with comparisons to the Jayhawks and Jeff Tweedy.

Drew Bordeaux is a singer/songwriter with talent a mile wide and a resumé a mile long. This Mt. Kisco native and Harvard grad plays guitar, violin, and bass, has performed with local legends Geoff Hartwell and Marc Von Em and opened for Daughtry and Boz Scaggs. He’s just as comfortable playing full electric with his band, The Cavalry, as he is playing solo with his loop station. And his voice has been described as a mix of Eddie Vedder and Darius Rucker.
