REGIONAL GROUPS BRING MOTOWN AND JAZZ-SOUL SOUNDS TO HELSINKI HUDSON

(December 2, 2016) – The Hudson-based soul-jazz outfit The Sweet Life Music Project, the Albany-based Motown-style ensemble Derrick Horton and the Jay Street Band, and other regional artists combine forces for the first Hudson Motown and Soul Session at Club Helsinki Hudson on Thursday, December 8, at 8pm. The community-based series will help support local youth music programs.

The Sweet Life Music Project plays funky jazz with a blues-rock influence. The Hudson-based group includes bandleader Randall “Stix” Martin, vocalist Faith Grumberg, guitarist Rick Warren, bassist/keyboardist Aaron Martin, and saxophonist Harold Kimble.
