ROCKIN’ 4 RYAN: A BENEFIT FOR LOCAL RESIDENT WHO WAS KIDNAPPED AND BRUTALIZED
(September 3, 2016) – On Sunday, October 9 from 1:00 – 7:00 PM, the Chance Theater will host a special benefit concert event. Rockin’ 4 Ryan is a multi-band concert and festival to benefit local kidnapping victim, Ryan, who was kidnapped from his driveway and brutalized, as he and his car were used to commit a bank robbery at a local Dutchess County bank.
During his two hour abduction, Ryan was choked repeatedly, held with a gun to his head, hogged tied, thrown in his trunk and doused with bleach. As a last form of torture, his kidnappers stole $30,000 in photography equipment and personal belongings. Being his sole source of income, Ryan was forced to incur huge loans to repurchase all of his equipment, since insurance only covered 1/3 of his losses.
The goal of this event is to help Ryan to minimize his financial losses as a result of this horrific crime. ALL proceeds will go directly to Mental Health America of Dutchess County. They will assist Ryan directly in minimizing his equipment loans as a result of this crime.
The community is invited to join in helping Ryan to recover from this mentally, emotionally, and financially devastating loss. Our community continues to come together to assist Ryan to get a PTSD service dog through Mental Health America of Dutchess County (www.mhaduchess.org/
