(July 5, 2016) – Appalachian Soul band, Upstate Rubdown is going on a national tour this summer and have decided to host a celebratory event before they leave.
This Thursday, July 8 at 9:00 PM, the band will be pulling out all the stops. All the tunes the band has played in the past four years will be performed in one way or another (hint: there may even be some special guests).
This event will be a fundraiser for all the expenses of tour.
About Upstate Rubdown:
“Pulling from the greatest corners of american music, this group has the power to get feet moving with or without amplification. like fresh-farmed vegetables, their music is as organic as it is good for you. from foot-stomping bass, highlighted by the slap of a cajon, to the familiar strums of the mandolin and guitar over a wailing saxophone – there’s so much going on instrumentally that when the harmonious lead vocalists chime in, the result is nothing short of a homegrown hurricane of sound.”
The group will be teaming up with Bacchus’s brewer Conor to create a brand new brew called “A Remedy”, which will be released the day of the show.
Bacchus Restaurant is located at 4 South Chestnut Street in New Paltz.
