Matt grew up in Gardiner, New York, just outside of New Paltz, NY. His earliest musical influences stem from his father, beginning with classic and progressive rock of the 60’s and 70’s. Matt’s aural palate expanded in his late teens and early twenties to include western classical music, world music and jazz.

He aquired his A.S in Music from SUNY Ulster in 2014 and is currently attending SUNY New Paltz as a jazz performance major. Originally a trombone and bass player, Matt is now a guitarist, vocalist and composer who has begun to study the arabic oud and the bass recorder.
